In memoriam · Indio Solari, 1949–2026
Carlos «Indio» Solari (1949–2026) was the voice and poet of Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, widely considered the biggest band in the history of Argentine rock. Born in La Plata in the 70s alongside Skay Beilinson, the band stayed independent from record labels and became famous for its massive «misas» (masses), as fans called the shows. After Los Redondos split, he formed Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado and kept filling stadiums. In 2016 he revealed he had Parkinson's, in 2017 he played his last live show, in Olavarría.

I worked on several of the band's shows while Indio was still alive. Since Parkinson's no longer allowed him to go on stage, he generously recorded his performances at home, and I ran the hologram that brought him to the show, synced via SMPTE with the live band.

In my own words

I felt I was exactly where I wanted to be, with a huge responsibility towards an audience I was once part of. As a teenager I followed Indio to his shows with my family and friends. One image stayed with me. At the last show I did with the band, watching Indio sing «Pool, averna y papusa» and sensing that his farewell from this world was inevitably approaching was deeply moving. And at every «Ji ji ji», the anthem that sets off one of the biggest mosh pits in rock, riding the pogo from the screens with strobes is something incredible.

Main VJ and content creator for Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado, the band of Indio Solari, former frontman of Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota and one of the most massive figures in Argentine rock. Live visual operation, mapping setup, composition building and launching the Indio Solari hologram synced via SMPTE, as part of a technical build by the whole team.

In December 2025, two nights at Estadio Único in La Plata, with over 60,000 people each.
